Topic: From Data Swamp to Data Product: Applying a Product Mindset to Formulation Science Data

Formulation scientists generate enormous volumes of data — DOE screens, stability studies, analytical characterization, excipient compatibility — but most of it lives as a static report, rebuilt from scratch for the next molecule or dosage form. This talk makes the case for treating that data as a data product: discoverable, documented, versioned, and reusable across projects and teams, rather than a one-time deliverable that dies in a folder. Drawing on real laboratory informatics and CMC digital transformation work, Astrix will show how a data-product approach to formulation data shortens development cycles, reduces redundant experimentation, eases tech transfer to manufacturing, and builds the clean, contextualized foundation that AI/ML-assisted formulation design requires.
